Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of DataPulse, a Google Sheets add-on operated by Blue Sphere Capital (“we”, “us”). By installing or using DataPulse you agree to them.

1. The service

DataPulse monitors the Google Sheets tabs you select for formula errors and stuck-loading cells, and sends alert emails from your own Google account to recipients you configure. It is a notification aid, not a system of record: it does not modify your spreadsheets, and it depends on Google's Apps Script platform, triggers, and email quotas to run.

2. Accounts and licensing

• A seat is the Google account that installs and configures DataPulse. Alert recipients are not seats and need no license.
• Each seat may configure up to 10 alert recipients, including group aliases.
• Your license is tied to the email address used at checkout. Licenses are for your use (or your organization's, under a domain license) and may not be resold.
• Domain licenses cover all installers at an agreed company domain and are invoiced separately.

3. Trial, payment, and cancellation

• New users get a 7-day free trial; no payment details are required to start it.
• Paid plans (monthly, annual, or lifetime) are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and on our pricing page.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime via the Stripe billing portal link in your receipt or by emailing support@bluespherecap.com; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• The “lifetime” plan means for the operating life of the DataPulse service, per section 7 — not a guarantee of perpetual operation.
• If you believe a charge is in error, contact us and we will make it right, including refunds where appropriate.

4. When your trial or subscription ends

If a trial or subscription lapses, monitoring pauses and you receive one notification email. Your settings remain in your Google account; upgrading resumes monitoring automatically.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use DataPulse to send alerts to recipients who haven't consented to receive them, not to attempt to access other users' data or our backend beyond the add-on's normal operation, and not to reverse the service's licensing checks. We may suspend seats engaged in abuse.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy — including its guarantee that your spreadsheet contents never leave your Google account — is part of these terms.

7. Disclaimers

DataPulse is provided “as is”. We work hard to make monitoring reliable — including alerting you when DataPulse itself cannot check a sheet — but we cannot guarantee that every error will be detected or that every alert will be delivered. Detection depends on Google's platform behavior (trigger timing, email quotas, error display strings) which can change outside our control. DataPulse currently recognizes English-locale error strings only. Do not rely on DataPulse as your sole control for financial reporting or any decision with material consequences.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including losses caused by an undetected spreadsheet error or an undelivered alert.

9. Termination

You can stop using DataPulse at any time by uninstalling it and revoking its access in your Google account settings. We may terminate or suspend the service for breach of these terms, and may discontinue the service with reasonable notice, in which case active subscriptions will be refunded pro-rata and recent lifetime purchases refunded in fairness to the time elapsed.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and, where practical, announced in the add-on. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
